Sandy holds a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology from Wilfrid Laurier University and a Behavioural Science diploma from George Brown College. She has worked as an Instructor Therapist with several organizations and received provincial training in Intensive Behavioural Intervention (IBI).
Her background includes working with children in childcare and education both in Canada and internationally, including Mexico and South Korea. In 2012, Sandy followed her entrepreneurial spirit and opened her own daycare. Those experiences eventually led her to ABA therapy, where she found her passion for supporting children with neurodiversities and their families.
As the co-owner of The Behaviour Team Inc., Sandy loves combining her passion for helping children with her love of building a great team. She takes pride in creating a warm, welcoming, and well-run environment where children, families, and staff feel supported every step of the way.

Anita holds a Bachelor’s Degree, a Behavioural Science Degree at George Brown, a Masters in Special Education (Applied Behaviour Analysis) and is a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst.
Anita started in 2009 as an Instructor Therapist at various agencies, and acquired her provincial training. In 2012 she started working directly with families as a Senior Therapist and Behavioural Consultant for children, youth and adults. Anita has completed PECS training, Pivotal Response Training and is a member of ONTABA.
Anita fell in love with the field in 2009 and continues to be passionate about behavioural science. Anita brings dedication, persistence and drive for her families.

Samantha MacDonald

Sam has been a proud member of The Behaviour Team since its opening in 2018. Her journey in the field of autism services began several years earlier, giving her over a decade of experience supporting children and families through Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) therapy.
For the first five years at The Behaviour Team, Sam worked directly with children, helping them develop important skills while building meaningful relationships with both clients and their families. This hands-on experience, combined with four years of prior experience in the field, has provided her with a strong understanding of the needs of the children and families the organization serves.
Having worked alongside Anita since 2014 and Sandy since 2018, Sam has had the privilege of growing with the organization and contributing to its success from the very beginning. Today, she serves in a management role, overseeing the day-to-day operations of the centre and supporting the dedicated team to ensure the highest quality of care and service.
Sam is passionate about creating a positive, supportive environment where children can thrive, families feel supported, and staff are empowered to do their best work. She finds it incredibly rewarding to be part of a team that is committed to making a meaningful difference in the lives of the families they serve.
Heather Laidman

Heather received a specialist degree from the University of Toronto and completed a Master of Professional Education degree from Western University. In 2021 she received her BCBA certification and in 2024 she became R.B.A. certified.
Heather has worked in the field for many years in a variety of settings, including respite care, music and swim programs, private and public centres, and schools overseas. She is passionate about implementing applied behavioural principles to teach skills that help individuals lead independent and fulfilling lives.

Alice Lee

Alice received her Bachelor’s degree in Early childhood Studies from Ryerson University in 2018. During her placements with children, she started to discover a passion for working with kids. She went to explore that passion by working in after school programs and daycares.
Alice found a passion for children with special needs through working as a summer camp counsellor. She then went back to school and obtained her Graduate Certificate with Honours in Autism and Behavioural Science from George Brown College in 2020.
Alice hopes to bring her knowledge of children development and her passion for working with kids into this field. She hopes to continue her education of becoming a BCBA in the future. Alice is excited to be part of the team and can’t wait to learn from of those on the Behaviour team.
Chehak Bhatia

Chehak completed her Bachelor's degree with Honours in India. During her time at university, she volunteered with children of diverse abilities, and those experiences sparked her passion for Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Inspired to pursue this field, she moved to Canada to further her education and career.
She earned her Behavioral Science Technician diploma from George Brown College and also completed a diploma in Workplace Wellness and Health Promotion. Chehak is currently pursuing her Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis at Western University and is working toward becoming a Registered Behavior Analyst (RBA).
Chehak is proud to be a part of the TBT team and looks forward to continuing to grow both personally and professionally. She is committed to making a meaningful difference in the lives of the individuals and families she serves.
Fun Fact: Outside of work, Chehak runs a small home-based bakery and loves expressing her creativity through baking.
Shakerra Kenyon

Shakerra received her Bachelor's degree in Behavioural Science from Humber College and completed her Master of Professional Education at Western University. She earned her BCBA certification in 2026.
Shakerra has worked in the field of behaviour analysis for over three years and is passionate about helping others and serving her community. She strives to empower individuals to reach their full potential by supporting them in achieving meaningful goals and celebrating their accomplishments.
In her free time, Shakerra enjoys taking walks with her dog, hiking, and traveling.
Laura Ambas

Laura received her Honours Bachelor of Behaviour Analysis from George Brown College and her Master of Professional Education degree from Western University. In 2026 she received her BCBA and R.B.A. (ONT.) certifications.
She has worked with a wide variety of populations ranging from kids to adults, including those with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Acquired Brain Injury, and dual diagnosis. As clinical supervisor, Laura is excited to use her knowledge and experience to bring the best possible support to kids and their development, and to bring her experience and passion to the field. Laura is proud to be a part of such a supportive team at TBT!

Kendra Bilewicz

Kendra is a Brock University alumni with a Degree in Child and Youth Studies and an Honours Diploma in Behaviour Science through George Brown College’s post graduate program.
Kendra worked as an Instructor both in-centre and home-based and also worked in a school solely dedicated to the education of individuals with Autism and other development delays. Through this she has also worked in respite care and parent-training.
Kendra was a daycare liaison for children who needed extra assistance in the realms of Behaviour, Speech, Occupational and Recreational Therapy as well as an Assistant Supervisor of the daycare.
In 2020, Kendra decided to go back into the field of ABA that she fell in love with many years prior. She is so excited to be a member The Behaviour Team family , not only because the staff are revolutionary in the field but also because she can see the genuine love and care for each child that comes through TBT’s doors. This is what makes for success and she is so grateful she gets to be a part of it!
Christel Dantas

Christel was first introduced to Autism and Down syndrome at a young age, having members of her family diagnosed with these exceptionalities. She has life-long experience working with children and loves to continually learn.
Christel received a Bachelor’s degree in Honours English from Wilfrid Laurier University in 2018. Through many behavioural courses she discovered a new passion for Behavioural Therapy. She went on to complete her Graduate Certificate with Honors in Autism and Behavioural Science in 2020.
Christel hopes to gain more experience and knowledge of Behavioural Therapy and continues to work towards her RBT Certificate and one day, dreams of becoming a BCBA. Christel is excited to be a part of The Behaviour Team and cannot wait to see what the future holds.
Shannon Prato

Shannon received her bachelor degree from York University and has a diploma in community and justice services from Centennial College. Throughout her education she has had two field placements in elementary schools.
Shannon has worked with youth in various settings, including aiding children with classroom expectations at school. With this she discovered she wants to focus her career on working with children.
Shannon is passionate about assisting people gain skills that will help them live their best life and is committed to making a difference in the lives of the people she works with.
